Facility
Southern California Equestrian Center
We have recently moved our program. We are now located at Southern California Equestrian Center Formerly known as Galway downs. www.ScecOnline.com
Dacia why did you move?
“Well, we recently purchased a small ranch in Temecula and we didn’t get to enjoy it with all of our horses at another location. So we were given the opportunity to train at SCEC that was 5 miles away. We now have an unlimited amount of room and a fantastic manager that can accommodate all our our horses and students needs. The manager Robert Kellerhouse hosts many competitions that not only gives us the home field advantage but the competitions that are outside our discipline give us an opportunity to recreate “show nerves” for our young horses”
How do you feel about SCEC and the service they provide?
Well, We basically lease the barn and the facility is available for us to use. So it is nice that we get to have the quality control on feed and bedding unlike a boarding facility. They do an amazing job keeping our footing at a peak and the aesthetics at a 4* level. We love the feel this valley gives us and it was just meant to be when our Veterinarian moved in the hospital adjacent to the facility.
Can you describe the facility for us?
“It is 240 acres of playground. We have 11 arenas, cross country from Novice to Advanced level and a race track to build endurance. It’s just a dream come true. We were able to contribute our own construction in order to make it more like home and more of a working sporthorse barn instead of a race track barn. We can bring our dogs to work as well as having barn kitties. We are unlimited in our expansion and creativity. We have always loved the facility but never thought we could train out of it until the manager invited us. ”
Complaints:
“It’s so great that I don’t want to leave and enjoy our new home anymore”

Trails: There are miles and miles of trails surrounding Southern California Equestrian center. The closest loops are very wide and safe for the sport horses to enjoy training outside of the arena for stamina and as another view in their day to day life. If we need to venture past our 240 acre facility there are miles and miles of Temecula Wine Country to explore.
