Facility at Galway Downs
Stepping Stone Sporthorses, LLC resides at Galway Downs (formally known as Southern California Equestrian Center). This amazing facility is located in Temecula, California, which is in reasonably close proximity to Murrieta, Riverside, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Juan Capistrano making it a regular site for horse shows of many disciplines for the equestrian community.
We are so proud to have been given the opportunity to train at Galway Downs. With an unlimited amount of room and a fantastic manager we are able to accommodate all our horses’ and students’ needs. Manager, Robert Kellerhouse, hosts many competitions giving us the home field advantage but the competitions outside our horses’ discipline give us an opportunity to recreate “show nerves” for our young horses”. Galway does an amazing job of keeping our footing at a peak and the aesthetics at a 4* level. We love the feel this valley gives us and it was just meant to be when our Veterinarian moved in the hospital adjacent to the facility.
There are miles and miles of trails surrounding Galway Downs equestrian center. The closest loops are very wide and safe for the sport horses to enjoy training outside of the arena for stamina and as another view in their day to day life. If we need to venture past our 240 acre facility there are miles and miles of Temecula Wine Country to explore.
It is 240 acres of playground! We have 11 arenas, cross country from Novice to Advanced level and a race track to build endurance. It’s just a dream come true. We have always loved the facility but never thought we could train out of it until the manager invited us.
